Beberapa orang mungkin pernah mengalaminya, misalnya saja lupa menaruh hand phone, kunci motor/mobil, surat-surat penting, nama teman lama, dan sebagainya.
Sudah di cari atau diingat-ingat hingga terasa pusing tujuh keliling tetapi tak jua ditemukan. Namun ketika menunaikan shalat, jawaban dari sesuatu yang sedang dicari itu justru malah terlintas di pikiran.
Bukan itu saja, beberapa orang mungkin juga pernah mengalami lupa jumlah rakaat shalat karena teringat tentang masa lalu, yang baru saja dikerjakan,

Apabila azan itu telah selesai, maka ia datang lagi. Sehingga, apabila diiqamati untuk shalat, maka ia membelakangi lagi.

Ia berkata, ‘Ingatlah ini, ingatlah ini!’ Yaitu, ia mengingatkan kepada orang itu sesuatu yang tidak diingatnya (lalu dikacaukan pikirannya). Sehingga, orang itu tidak mengetahui berapa rakaat ia shalat.
Maka, apabila seseorang dari kamu tidak mengetahui apakah ia telah shalat tiga rakaat ataukah empat rakaat, maka hendaklah ia sujud dua kali (dalam satu riwayat: dua kali sujud sahwi) sambil duduk.” (HR. Bukhari).
Dari Abu Hurairah radhiallahu ‘anhu, Rasulullah shallallahu’alaihi wasallam bersabda,
”Sesungguhnya setan, apabila mendengar azan untuk shalat, ia berlari sambil terkentut-kentut sampai tidak mendengarnya lagi. Ketika azan telah berhenti, ia kembali menghasut. Apabila mendengar iqamat, ia pergi sampai tidak mendengarnya. Ketika iqamat telah berhenti, ia kembali menghasut lagi.” (HR. Muslim).
Ternyata si pembuat lupa jumlah rakaat shalat adalah akibat gangguan dari setan yang bernama Khanzab (ada yang menyebutnya Khinzib), ia juga menggelincirkan lidah hingga membuat salah dalam bacaan.
Sahabat Utsman bin Affan bertanya kepada Rasulullah, “Wahai Rasulullah, setan telah mengganggu shalat dan bacaanku.”
Beliau bersabda, “Itulah setan yang disebut dengan khanzab, jikau engkau merasakan kehadirannya maka bacalah ta’awudz kepada Allah dan meludah kecillah ke arah kiri tiga kali.” (HR. Ahmad).
Itulah setan spesialis penggoda shalat yang bernama Khanzab/Khinzib. Ia akan senantiasa mengganggu agar tidak khusuk ketika menunaikan ibadah shalat sehingga menjadi lupa berakaat yang telah dikerjakan.
Sesuai di atas, untuk mengusirnya bacalah ta’awudz kepada Allah dan meludah kecillah ke arah kiri tiga kali.
