Sudahkah kita shalat? Shalatlah sebelum kita dishalatkan!” Dua
kalimat ini seringkali kita temui di berbagai tempat, mulai dari dinding
dan papan masjid, mushala, sekolah, bahkan di bak truk. Kalimat ini
secara tidak langsung mengingatkan bahwa shalat adalah perintah Allah
yang harus dikerjakan sesuai dengan aturan syariat Islam.
Beberapa
keutamaan shalat dibandingkan dengan ibadah-ibadah lain di antaranya:
Shalat diperintahkan langsung oleh Allah kepada nabi Muhammad SAW ketika
di-Isra-Mi’raj-kan. Shalat adalah ibadah yang akan dihisab pertama kali
sebelum ibadah-ibadah yang lain. Kewajiban shalat adalah kewajiban yang
harus dijalankan dalam kondisi apa pun (jika tidak bisa sambil berdiri
maka dikerjakan sambil duduk, jika tidak bisa maka sambil terlentang,
dan seterusnya), dan shalat adalah ibadah yang wajib dikerjakan setiap
hari hingga ajal menjemput.
Kewajiban shalat
lima waktu masih banyak diabaikan oleh sebagian masyarakat. Walaupun
ketika ditanya agamanya apa, dia jawab Islam. Dua kisah nyata yang
penulis terima dari teman tentang sikap orang tuanya.
Kisah
pertama, “Seorang ibu tua yang semasa hidupnya tidak pernah menjalankan
shalat, selalu diingatkan oleh anak dan keluarganya. Sesekali dia
menjawab, “Buat apa shalat nyatanya orang yang mati tidak pernah kembali
ke dunia, berarti di sana dia bahagia” (alih bahasa: dari bahasa Jawa
asli Pemalang). Cerita ini sudah lama penulis peroleh sekitar tahun
2010-an ketika masih menetap di Pemalang.
Kisah
kedua, “Salah satu jama’ah pengajian menceritakan sekaligus bertanya
bagaimana cara mengajak orang tua menjalankan shalat lima waktu. Karena
selama hidupnya tidak pernah menjalankan shalat lima waktu. Dan ketika
diajak untuk shalat dijawabnya “bahwa urusan di akhirat menjadi urusan
masing-masing, tidak usah mengajak-ajak untuk shalat. Urusanku ya
urusanku nanti” (alih bahasa: dari bahasa Klaten). Cerita ini penulis
peroleh tahun 2018, selesai pengajian setiap minggu, pukul 20.00-21.00
di Ngawonggo, Ceper, Klaten.
Meninggalkan shalat bukanlah hal yang ringan tanggung jawabnya di hadapan Allah ﷻ. Dalam kitab Irsyâdu al-‘Ibâd karya Syekh Zainuddin al-Malibari dalam bab Fadhlish Shalâtil Maktûbah dijelaskan
bahwa ada 15 siksaan yang akan diberikan kepada orang-orang yang
meninggalkan shalat. Enam siksaan ketika di dunia, tiga siksaan ketika
meninggal, tiga siksaan ketika di alam kubur, dan tiga siksaan ketika
dibangkitkan dari alam kubur.
Enam siksaan di
dunia: (1) dicabut keberkahan umurnya; (2) dihilangkan tanda-tanda
keshalihan diwajahnya; (3) segala amal baiknya tidak akan mendapatkan
pahala; (4) doanya tidak akan dikabulkan; (5) tidak mendapatkan bagian
doa dari doanya orang-orang shalih; (6) akan dibenci oleh kebanyakan
orang.
Tiga siksaan ketika meninggal: (1) mati
dalam kondisi terhina; (2) mati dalam kondisi lapar; (3) mati dalam
kondisi haus, yang apabila diminumkan satu lautan pun tidak mungkin akan
dapat menghilangkan dahagaya.
Sedangkan tiga
siksaan di alam kubur: (1) kuburannya menyempit sehingga tulang-tulang
rusuk saling bersimpangan; (2) ruang kubur dipenuhi api sehingga
sehari-hari hidup bergelimangan di atas bara; (3) di alam kuburnya akan
ditemani ular besar utusan Allah untuk menyiksa yang diberi nama
Asy-Syuja’ Al Aqra’.
Tiga siksaan ketika
dibangkitkan dari kubur menuju padang makhsyar: (1) hisab yang berat;
(2) dibenci Allah ﷻ; (3) dimasukkan ke dalam neraka. (Syekh Zainuddin
