Dampaknya lima pesawat terbang terpaksa berputar-putar di ruang udara Makassar hingga nyaris 30 menit, cocoknya 20 menit. Faktor ini dikarenakan munculnya awan berbentuk gelombang tsunami alias Awan Kumulonimbus menggulung di langit Kota Makassar, Selasa (1/1/2019) sore.

Kelima pesawat itu pun wajib menantikan cuaca mulai membaik supaya bisa mendarat di Bandara Internasional Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar. Faktor itu disampaikan oleh General Manager AirNav Indonesia cabang Makassar Air Traffic Service Centre (MATSC), Novy Pantaryanto saat dikonfirmasi Kompas.com, Rabu (2/1/2019).

"Sehingga, pesawat itu berputar-putar terlebih dahulu di atas kurang lebih 15 hingga 20 menit lalu mendarat seusai cuaca mulai membaik,” ungkap Novy. Novy berkata, awan berbentuk gelombang tsunami tersebut adalah awan yang sangat berbahaya.

Di dalam gumpalan awan kumulonimbus itu tersedia ppostingan-ppostingan petir, es serta lain-lainnya yang sangat membahayakan bagi penerbangan. Awan kumulonimbus inilah yang paling dihindari oleh pilot, sebab di dalam awan itu juga tersedia pusaran angin.

“Sangat mengerikan itu awan kumulonimbus. Kalau kami liat angin puting beliung, ekor angin itu ada di dalam awan kumulonimbus." "Awan ini juga bisa membekukan mesin pesawat, sebab di dalamnya tersedia tak sedikit ppostingan-ppostingan es."

"Tersedia ppostingan petir serta sebagainya di dalam awan itu,” terangnya. Walau awan kumulonimbus dianggap membahayakan bagi penerbangan, kata Novy, pihaknya sudah mempunyai alat radar cuaca pada rute penerbangan yang bisa melacak cuaca hingga radius 100 Km.

Sehingga, apabila terkesan awan kumulonimbus pada radar, pihaknya langsung memberi taunya serta pilot bakal membelokkan pesawat hingga 15 derajat. “Tidak ada pilot yang berani menembus awan kumulonimbus. Jadi kami mempunyai radar cuaca serta berkoordinasi dengan BMKG."

Novy meningkatkankan, awan kumulonimbus berada di ketinggian 1.000 hingga 15.000 kaki. Jadi untuk penerbangan 30.000 hingga 40.000 kaki aman bagi pesawat.

“Jadi lalulintas penerbangan aman, apabila ada cuaca kurang baik yang mengancam,” tambahnya. BMKG Makassar: Awas Angin Kencang

Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi Geofisika alias BMKG IV Makassar mengimbau, supaya masyarakat waspada angin kencang. Prakirawan BMKG IV Makassar Siswanto mengaku, kewaspadaan angin kencang ini mulai dari 31 Desember 2018 hingga kelak hingga tanggal 6 Januari 2019 ini.

"Saat ini terbukti terkesan normal, tetapi sewaktu-waktu potensi angin kencang itu berkesempatan terjadi," ungkap Siswanto terhadap tribun timur, Rabu (2/1/2019). Semacam diketahui, berdasarkan analisis kondisi atmosfer terkini, dari tanggal 31 Desember 2018, teridentifikasi adanya peningkatan tekanan di dataran Asia.

Selain itu terpantau juga adanya bibit siklon di sebelah utara Indonesia, yakni 97 W cocoknya di Laut China Selatan. BMKG juga mengidentifikasi adanya bibit siklon tropis 95 P di Teluk Carpentaria Australia, sebelah selatan Papua serta 96 S di samudera Hindia, selatan Jawa.

BMKG menyatakan, dari ketiga bibit siklon yang ada diprakirakan berpotensi angin kencang disejumlah wilayah di Indonesia, termaksud Sulwesi Selatan. "Hampir semua wilayah di Indonesiai, termaksud juga Sulawesi Selatan. Tapi untuk sekarang tetap normal. Sekarang normal 1013 hpa," jelas Siswanto.
