Sabtu, 22 Desember 2018 Banten dilanda tsunami. Akibat kejadian tersebut
sebanyak 429 orang meninggal, 1.485 orang mengalami luka-luka, dan 154
orang dinyatakan hilang. Dari sekian banyak korban baik yang selamat,
luka-luka dan meninggal ada keluarga besar dari band Tanah Air yakni
Seventeen dan grup lawak Jigo.
Dari band Seventeen sendiri yang selamat dari bencana tersebut adalah
Ifan, sang vokalis. Sedangkan untuk 3 orang lainnya, yakni drummer,
basist, gitaris, hingga sang road managernya meninggal dunia. Bukan
hanya itu, istri Ifan yakni Dylan Sahara juga meninggal dalam peristiwa
tersebut. Pada saat kejadian tersebut, Ifan dan rekan-rekannya, Andi,
Bani dan Herman tengah manggung di di Tanjung Lesung Beach Resort Banten
atau sekitar Pantai Carita, Banten dalam acara Gathering karyawan PLN.
Demikian juga dengan grup Jigo, Adi dan Jimmy mengisi acara tersebut. Dari grup Jigo sendiri, Jimmy meninggal dunia bersama istri dan kedua anaknya.
Bukan hanya Ifan yang selamat dalam peristiwa tersebut, tapi saudara kembarnya yakni Riedhan Fajarsyah juga bisa lolos dari maut. Riedhan bersama sang istri Cynthia Wijaya, yang merupakan seorang aktris serta anak mereka bisa selamat dari Tsunami yang menewaskan empat ratus lebih orang tersebut.
Namun,

Dylan dimakamkan pada Selasa, 25 Desember 2018 di TPU yang tepat berada di belakang Kelurahan Taman Arum Kota Ponorogo. Ifan tampak tegar saat melihat jenazah sang istri dimasukkan ke liang lahat.
Menghantarkan istrinya ke peristirahatan yang terakhir, Ifan nampak mengenakan busana warna putih. Ia juga yang berdiri tepat di depan batu nisan Dylan. Sementara itu, Dylan sendiri ditemukan meninggal dunia pada Senin 24 Desember 2018.
Sebelum jadi korban tsunami Banten dan meninggal dunia, Dylan ternyata sempat menghubungi ibunya. Dylan menghubungi ibunya melalui aplikasi Whatsapp. Dan pesan itu disampaikan Dylan di hari yang sama dimana tsunami menerjang Banten dan Lampung.
"Sempat ada komunikasi terakhir. Oh iya, sudah WhatsApp saya pada tanggal 22 Desember itu, sebelum tsunami," ujar ibunda Dylan.
Ibunda Dylan juga menuturkan tentang pesan terakhir yang disampaikan oleh putrinya itu. Menurutnya, Dylan sempat mengucapkan Selamat Hari Ibu padanya, pasalnya hari itu bertepatan dengan Hari Ibu. Bukan hanya itu, menurut penuturannya, Dylan sempat menulis sebuah pesan menyentuh dan meminta cium.
"Apa ya, oh dia ucapin 'mother's day'. Dia bilang, 'Dylan sayang mama'. Saya balas ciuman dua kali. Dia minta cium," katanya.
