Indonesia patut berbangga, Syamsuri Firdaus, seorang putra Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) berhasil menorehkan tinta emas kemenangan di Turki. Syamsuri berhasil menyabet juara 1 kompetisi MTQ Internasional ke-7 di Istanbul, Turki.
Atas prestasinya tersebut, Presiden Turki, Recep Tayyip Erdoganmemberikan ucapan selamat secara langsung kepada Syamsuri.
Bahkan Erdogan melalui Instagram mengunggah foto kebersamaannya dengan Syamsuri.
Foto Erdogan tersebut diunggah pada hari Minggu (26/5/2019) waktu setempat.
Dalam foto tersebut tampak Erdogan yang tersenyum tipis mengusap kedua pipi Syamsuri.

Namun dapat dibayangkan betapa bangganya Syamsuri atas momen tersebut.

Sementara itu, melalui unggahan Facebook miliknya, Syamsuri menyatakan rasa bangganya dapat bertemu dengan Erdogan.

NTB Gudang Prestasi
Selain Syamsuri, sebelumnya telah ada sprinter Indonesia, Lalu Muhammad Zohri yang lagi dan lagi menorehkan prestasi bagi Indonesia.
Terakhir, Zohri tampil gemilang pada kejuaraan Seiko Golden Grand Prix 2019 di Osaka, Jepang, Minggu dengan finis di urutan ketiga dan mempertajam rekor nasional (rekornas) lari 100 meter.
"Luar biasa. Rekor nasional baru lagi. 10,03," cuit mantan sprinter nasional yang juga asisten pelatih PB PASI Fadlin.
Pada babak final kejuaraan yang cukup bergengsi ini, sprinter terbaik Indonesia itu berhadapan langsung dengan juara dunia sprint asal Amerika Serikat, Justlin Gatlin serta sprinter tuan rumah Jepang yang sudah kenyang pengalaman.
Zohri yang pada final berada di line sembilan melaju dengan cepat dan akhirnya finis di urutan ketiga dengan catatan waktu 10,03 detik.
Peringkat pertama direbut sang juara dunia Justin Gatlin dengan waktu 10.00 detik dan peringkat dua wakil Jepang, Kiryu Yoshihide dengan 10,01 detik.

Bagi Zohri waktu yang ditorehkan pada kejuaraan Seiko Golden Grand Prix 2019 di Osaka, Jepang, itu meningkat pesat dibandingkan dengan rekornas yang selama ini ia pegang yaitu 10,15 detik.
Rekornas sendiri dipecahkan oleh atlet asal Nusa Tenggara Barat itu pada Kejuaraan Atletik Asia 2019 yang berlangsung di Doha, Qatar, Senin (21/4).
Rekor sebelumnya dipegang oleh Suryo Agung dengan catatan waktu 10,17 detik yang bertahan selama 10 tahun.
Hasil di Jepang ini juga menunjukkan jika sprinter Indonesia mampu bersaing di level yang lebih tinggi.

Apalagi yang dihadapi adalah atlet yang telah memiliki nama besar di dunia adu cepat 100 meter itu.
Dengan hasil di Jepang ini, berdasarkan cuitan Pengurus Besar Persatuan Atletik Seluruh Indonesia (PB PASI), Lalu Muhammad Zohri juga lolos ke Kejuaraan Dunia 2019 dan Olimpiade 2020 di Tokyo, Jepang. (*)
